Two new NCE clusters

The Norwegian Centers of Expertise (NCE) are clusters consisting of companies, universities and research institutions with an important expertise, enabling them to compete worldwide. Two new NCE clusters were announced June 3rd and BTO congratulates the two new entries, NCE Media and NCE Maritime CleanTech.

The NCE Program is established to enhance sustainable innovation and internationalization process in the most dynamic and growth-oriented Norwegian clusters. The governmental commitment towards the program is an important part of the innovation- and business politics in Norway. The NCE Program is jointly owned by Innovation Norway, the Research Council of Norway and SIVA.

“Strong and international clusters contribute to making Norway the most innovative country in Europe”, said the Minister of Trade and Industry, Monica Mæland, when she announced the new clusters.

“The clusters are important in order to create growth and value all over Norway. They strengthen our competitiveness and the rate of innovation, through collaboration between business and local knowledge”, said the Minister of Local Government and Modernisation, Jan Tore Sanner.

BTO would like to congratulate our partners, NCE Media and NCE Maritime CleanTech, on their NCE acceptance.
